| CCSB95 started their new season 2007 in style ! They played their first game against EuroCC at Chantilly on 7th april 2007. The weather was nice sunny but still to cold bcause of strong wind. |
Our captain Ketan lost the toss and was invited to field first. A very aggressive first spell of Devandra(Arjun 6/28) and Ashish reduce the tourist to 42/6 in 15overs. The 7th wicket partnership add more then 50 runs but introduction of Samir(3/13) was good move and finally the tourist post 126/10.
CCSB95 response was not brilliant as they lost their openers cheaply. However two important partnership in the middle, first of Ketan/Imran then Ketan/Jiten survive to very hostile bowling of their opposant. At the end of 27 overs, the score was 77/5. In the end, three wickets(two runout) fells quickly and the batsmen were in pressure. In the final over, 6 runs were needed and our last pair was playing. Prakash was on crease, he was little bit upset with his bowling as he bowled an excellent spell but he didn't get any wicket. EuroCC captain bring himself to bowl the last over and he attack the stump in order to get the final wicket. Prasant was alert and hit the first bowl of the final over to mid-wicket area for 4 ! Finally, CCSB95 win the game with two balls remaining. Here are some photos:
